Questions, answeredbefore the first call.
Everything clients usually ask about starting, working together, ownership, and pricing — in plain language, no sales gloss.
From first call to first commit
How do we start a project with Technovadors?
It starts with a 30-minute intro call to understand your goal, constraints, and timeline. Within a week we run a Week 0 discovery — a structured workshop where we map scope, risks, and success metrics with your team. You leave discovery with a written plan, a team proposal, and a fixed price for the first phase. If the plan does not convince you, you owe nothing beyond the discovery fee.
How quickly can a team actually begin?
For a Venture Sprint we can typically kick off within one to two weeks of signing, because sprints run with a pre-formed pod of senior engineers. Product Squads take two to three weeks to assemble, since we match specific skills — say, a GenAI lead plus data engineers — to your roadmap rather than pulling whoever is free. Week 0 discovery can start even sooner and runs in parallel with team formation.
What do you need from us before kickoff?
Three things: a decision-maker who can join weekly demos, access to the systems we will build against (repos, cloud accounts, or sandboxes), and honesty about what has already been tried. We handle the rest — environment setup, CI/CD, and project tooling are part of the foundations phase in weeks 1–2. You do not need a written spec; discovery exists to produce one together.
Do you take on small or exploratory projects?
Yes — that is exactly what the Venture Sprint is for. In 2–6 weeks of fixed scope we take an idea to a clickable prototype or working MVP, plus an architecture blueprint and a next-steps roadmap. Many clients use a sprint to de-risk a bigger build before committing to a monthly Product Squad. Starting small is a feature of how we work, not an exception.
How the collaboration runs week to week
How often will we see progress?
Every week, without exception. Weekly demos of working software are part of every engagement model, from a two-week sprint to a multi-year Operate & Extend contract. Between demos you get async updates in your channel of choice and full read access to the repos, boards, and CI pipelines. If a week ever passes where you cannot see what changed, something has gone wrong — and we treat it that way.
Who actually does the work — and will the team change?
Senior engineers only; we do not staff juniors on client work or swap in trainees after the sale. A Product Squad is typically 4–6 senior engineers plus a tech lead who owns architecture decisions and is your daily point of contact. The team stays stable for the length of the engagement, and any change is proposed to you in advance with an overlap period, never announced after the fact.
How do you work with our in-house engineers?
As one team, not a vendor at arm’s length. We work in your repos, follow your review process where one exists, and pair with your engineers on the parts they will own long-term. Knowledge transfer is scheduled work — documented decisions, recorded walkthroughs, and handover sessions — not something squeezed in at the end. The goal is that your team can run everything we build without us.
What time zones do you cover?
We are headquartered in India and deliver globally, so we structure at least a four-hour daily overlap with your working hours — whether you are in Singapore, London, or San Francisco. Demos, planning, and decision-heavy sessions land inside that overlap window; deep build work happens around it. Operate & Extend clients additionally get 24/7 monitoring and SLA-backed incident response independent of time zone.
What you own and how we keep it safe
Who owns the code, infrastructure, and AI models?
You do — completely and from day one. All code lives in repositories you control, infrastructure runs in your cloud accounts, and any models we fine-tune or prompts we engineer are your IP under the contract. There is no licensing tail, no proprietary framework you are locked into, and no “ask us for a copy” at the end. If you walk away tomorrow, everything keeps running and everything is yours.
How do you handle security and compliance?
Security is built in from the foundations phase, not audited in at the end. We follow SOC 2-aligned practices: least-privilege access, encrypted secrets management, dependency scanning, and audit trails on every deploy. For regulated industries like fintech, healthcare, and insurance we design to your compliance regime — data residency, PII handling, and access reviews are scoped in discovery. Our engineers sign your NDAs and work inside your security perimeter where required.
Which technologies do you build with?
The ones your team can hire for and maintain — we are deliberately boring about core choices and ambitious about architecture. Typical stacks span modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), mainstream languages and frameworks, and proven data and MLOps tooling. For AI work we are model-agnostic: we evaluate hosted and open-weight options against your latency, cost, and privacy constraints rather than defaulting to one vendor. Every choice is documented in the architecture blueprint with the trade-offs spelled out.
Can you take over a system another team built?
Yes — Operate & Extend engagements often begin exactly there. We start with a structured assessment: architecture review, dependency and security audit, and a stabilization plan ranked by risk. Then we take on-call responsibility under SLAs while working the improvement backlog, so reliability and momentum improve together. You get a system that is monitored 24/7 and a roadmap that stops being hostage to legacy surprises.
What it costs and how it flexes
How do you price your engagements?
Each model prices differently, on purpose. Venture Sprints are fixed-price against fixed scope, so exploration has a known ceiling. Product Squads bill a flat monthly rate per team composition, with transparent burn reported at every weekly demo. Operate & Extend is a monthly retainer sized to your SLA tier and system footprint. You will always know the number before work starts — we do not do open-ended hourly billing.
What if our priorities change mid-engagement?
Product Squads are built for exactly that: the team owns your roadmap, so re-prioritizing is a planning conversation, not a contract renegotiation. Scope changes inside a fixed-price sprint are handled with a simple swap rule — new items in, equal-sized items out — or a written change order if the total genuinely grows. Either way, the weekly demo means a change in direction costs you days, not months of sunk work.
Is there a minimum commitment or lock-in?
The minimum is the smallest useful unit of work: a 2-week sprint or one month of a squad. Product Squad and Operate & Extend agreements run month to month after an initial period, with 30 days notice to wind down. Because you own all code, infrastructure, and models from day one, leaving is operationally painless — which is precisely why we can afford short notice periods. We keep clients with results, not contracts.
How do you keep cloud and AI costs under control?
Cost is an engineering requirement, not an afterthought. Architectures are cost-engineered from the blueprint stage — right-sized compute, sensible storage tiers, and caching or batching for AI inference so token spend does not balloon. Operate & Extend includes recurring cloud cost optimization reviews with concrete savings actions, and every squad reports infrastructure spend alongside feature progress. Several clients have funded feature work entirely from the savings those reviews produced.
